LeRoi Moore is Dead

A sad day.  I haven't been to a Dave Matthews Band show in a while, but I have to say some of LeRoi's sick jams were near ecstasy to me.

Here's a fine example from Woodstock 99.  See from about 5 min on.  (We danced our asses off to this one...)

Damn.  I feel slightly nauseous.  The world lost one of its finer musicians today.

Dude, I was there too! I was at the top of the mudslide hill taking pictures through a raincovered lense. What an amazing weekend!

He will surely be missed.

regards,
Jerry

We all knew another one had to go; after all, celebrity deaths come in three’s. Except this time around, apparently; this time there are four, and they all happen to be black men. How weird.
First it was Bernie Mac, then Isaac Hayes, and now saxophonist LeRoi Moore of the Dave Matthew’s Band and actor Julius Carry, better known as “Sho Nuff” from The Last Dragon.
